Ditch & Dump: Brain Dump App (“Ditch & Dump”, “the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a mobile application developed by Makeyoursoftware (Dhruv Jain). The App is available on the Google Play Store.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, contact us at djamitjn@gmail.com.
Ditch & Dump is an offline-first application. The following information is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to servers operated by us:
We do not create user accounts for Ditch & Dump. You do not need to provide your name, email address, phone number, or other direct personal identifier to use the core features of the App.
We do not operate our own analytics or crash-reporting service for your thought content. However, third-party services included in the App may process limited device, purchase, or advertising-related information as described below.
Ditch & Dump uses the following third-party services. Their handling of data is governed by their respective privacy policies.
Google AdMob (Advertising)
The free version of Ditch & Dump displays banner and interstitial advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To deliver, measure, secure, and limit fraud in advertising, Google and its advertising partners may collect or receive information such as your advertising ID, IP address, device information, app interaction and diagnostic information, and approximate location inferred from network or device signals. Advertising may be personalised or non-personalised depending on your location, consent choices, Google settings, and device settings.
We do not provide your thoughts, tasks, ideas, reflections, or exported content to AdMob for advertising. You can manage ad personalisation through your Google Ads settings and supported Android privacy settings. Learn more in Google’s Privacy & Terms.
RevenueCat and Google Play Billing (Purchases)
Ditch & Dump offers optional in-app purchases, such as Lifetime Pro. Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your credit card, bank account, or payment card details.
We use RevenueCat to provide, validate, restore, and manage Pro entitlements. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, purchase receipt and transaction status, entitlement information, device information, and information needed to provide the purchase service. RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
These service providers process only the information needed to provide advertising or purchase-related services. They do not receive your thought content, tasks, reflections, or exported backups from Ditch & Dump.
Ditch & Dump lets you export local data and share selected content, such as a clarity card, only when you choose to use those features.
If you export data, the backup file is saved to your device. If you use your device’s share sheet, the selected content is sent to the app, person, or service you choose. Those third parties handle the shared content under their own privacy policies. We do not control content after you choose to share it.
Your core Ditch & Dump data remains on your device until you delete it, use the App’s “Burn it down” option in Settings → Data & Privacy, or uninstall the App.
Certain features are intentionally time-limited. For example, tasks and checklists may expire at midnight, and reflection-related items follow the App’s designed lifecycle. These actions occur locally on your device.
Uninstalling the App removes its locally stored app data. Exported backup files, screenshots, and content you have shared are separate copies under your control and are not removed automatically by uninstalling the App.
Ditch & Dump does not create user accounts. Therefore, there is no account for us to delete or deactivate on a server. For data held by Google, RevenueCat, or another third party, please refer to that provider’s privacy policy and support process.
We are committed to protecting your information. Core personal content is stored locally on your device rather than on servers operated by us. Your device’s operating-system security, including its screen lock and storage protections, helps protect this local data.
The optional App Lock feature adds a device-managed authentication step. Network communications required for advertising and purchases are handled through the relevant third-party providers using their security measures.
The optional App Lock feature uses your device’s native biometric authentication, such as fingerprint or face recognition, where available. Ditch & Dump does not receive, store, or transmit biometric templates or biometric data. Authentication is performed by your device’s operating system.
With your permission, Ditch & Dump may schedule local reminders for daily check-ins, action windows, and worry reflections. These notifications are created and scheduled on your device; we do not use a cloud push-notification service or track whether you open them.
Depending on the reminder type, a notification may include a short excerpt of a thought you entered. You can turn reminders off in the App or in your device settings. Notification visibility on a lock screen is controlled by your device’s notification settings.
Ditch & Dump is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party service connected to the App, please contact us so we can review the concern.
You can control your local data directly in Ditch & Dump by editing or deleting content, using the “Burn it down” option, and removing exported files from your device. You can also disable notifications in the App or device settings and manage advertising choices through supported Google and Android privacy settings.
Because we do not maintain accounts or servers containing your thought content, we cannot access, correct, export, or delete that local content for you. For advertising or purchase-related information handled by Google or RevenueCat, please use the privacy controls and contact methods provided by those services.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, our service providers, or applicable requirements change. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of Ditch & Dump after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
